I’ve always had a soft spot for peg boards, their versatility is hard to match. This particular one, designed by Philip Stankard and Jon Alling of Human Crafted, is also a pleasure to look at. Handmade from natural wood, it is as handsome as it is functional.

Designers explain:

“This is our take on the standard peg board that everyone loves to hate in their garage. When combined with another garage favorite, the bungee cord, the utility is taken to another level.”

The piece is perfect for a kitchen, home office, or any other place that requires wall storage. Choose a few accessories to customize your board even further.

This quirky key holder is a collaborative project of Luz Cabrera and Malorie Pangilinan, designed for Fab’s “First Things First” competition/showcase for NYCxDesign 2014. Inspired by the 50s iconic phrase “Honey, I’m Home”, the piece resembles a honeycomb with pockets for key chains. Designers elaborate: “Home is the place you return to, and that home becomes yours when you receive that shiny new set of keys. But even keys need a place to return to. The bees will come buzzing home to this retro chic key holder that also doubles as an elegant wall piece.” The key chains come in different colors to differentiate each household member’s set of keys. Lovely. Wishlisted.

Quirky came up with yet another clever idea – Branch shower curtain rings. Aside from serving their main purpose, these rings hold your towels, loofahs and other bathroom essentials. I especially like that they can add storage on both sides of the shower curtain. Watch the video after the break so see the product in action.

Who would have thought that a humble radiator could be so stunning! Scaletta by Italian studio Tubes Radiatori draws on the vision of a ladder leaning up against a wall. It can perform in the bathroom, kitchen, or bedroom, using a simple electric cable as a power source. I especially like the little pulley that helps you to control the cable clutter. What a beautiful idea and a simple minimalist execution.

You may have heard of cool and stylish Sabi pill cases and walking canes. The brand is now exploring the new horizons with their line of bathroom accessories, called Sabi Space. This 13-piece collection of interchangeable pieces revolves around the same peg design, which attaches to the tile via the 3M-like adhesive. Definitely something rental apartment dwellers would appreciate. The pieces twist or click via magnets onto pegs, which makes them easy to install and just as easy to uninstall. So, you are not stuck with the holes in your tiled wall and can change your arrangement if necessary. The Sabi Space line will go on sale in September. Check out the video after the break to see it in action.

Just wishlisted this simple yet clever desk organizer. Thanks to the 5 slots on top of the piece, it holds papers, letter, photographs and other papers and keeps them visible. Perfect for organizing the onslaught of correspondence that usually clutters desks. The holder for pens and other small accessories completes the setup. The Wood Block desk organizer is produced in France by l’Atelier d’Exercices from solid beach wood block (hence the name). Available for purchase here.
