Le Valet has been designed by the French studio La Fonction. With its refined frame, it divides space, which is already useful in a small apartment. In addition to that, the piece holds small items, provides a mirror (elegantly attached by two leather straps) and three hooks for clothing or bathrobe. Batea is an auxiliary table, designed by Daniel García and María J. Vargas for Woodendot. The piece features a slick serving tray that can make your entertaining, lounging with a drink, or an occasional TV dinner that much more elegant. Batea is composed of a tray, a lacquered metal structure, and three solid wooden legs easy to assembly. Solid natural ash wood has been used for color finishes and solid oak wood for the natural ones. The piece comes in 7 different finishes, so you can either match the colors or go for a contrast. Beautiful design and execution.

This invention would make any cook instantly happy. Poggenpohl‘s Plinth is a great compromise between a standalone vacuum cleaner and a central vacuum system. It is incorporated into the kitchen unit itself, ready to pick up any crumbs or scraps falling on the floor. No dustpans, no bending. Just sweep your schmutz towards the discreet vent, and the powerful suction will do the rest. The vacuum bags need to be changed, though, just like in a traditional vacuum cleaner. The only wish now is to have this product in a cabinet that is a tag less pricey.

Here is another noteworthy Kickstarter campaign – Grasslamp. The Grasslamp is an elegant combination of a grass planter and an ambient LED light. The piece will let you grow wheatgrass without soil and fertilizers and display it beautifully inside a lighting fixture. You can also grow up to 40 different micro-greens, including wheatgrass, micro-salads and edible flowers. And if you have a cat, Grasslamp can be a nice lasting alternative to the sad disposable grass containers you buy at a pet store.
If you love tech as much as I do, you can probably also relate to the cordage problem. Cables and wires can easily dominate your workspace, if you don’t show them who’s boss. This clever product by Poketo allows you to do just that, without spending a fortune. Thanks to its grid structure and flexible nobs, this organizer can hold a wide variety of cables. Glance is a cool take on a pegboard principle, created by designer Navid Akbarnejad. The sleek looking backboards are easily mounted on the wall and can house various attachments, anything from a cup holder to shelving and planters.
